Meeting Others
Speaking to others with similar stories can be helpful
It’s proven that those who are bereaved find comfort from knowing that someone, somewhere understands a little of how they feel. Speaking to others who have been affected by an epilepsy-related death can help to normalise things.
Reading through the personal stories on our My Story pages may help you to feel less alone. If you would like to share your story with others please contact our support team.
Meeting Others
We provide opportunities for you to connect with others
Epilepsy deaths are often sudden and unexpected, so connecting with others in some way may help you gain answers to your many questions. Being with others also provides an opportunity for you to drop the mask and just be yourself. You don’t have to be brave for others who know what you are going through because they have been through it themselves.
Meeting Others
Coffee Club Meetings
We provide opportunities for you to connect with others going through similar experiences. People who might be recently bereaved like you, or perhaps are further along their journey and able to share personally about their experiences of things faced and emotions felt.
